La extracción de la muela del juicio
Jared’s toof finally got yanked out two nights ago. It was a bit odd and surreal having the procedure when it was already dark outside, but I guess that’s how they roll in Costa Rica. During the afternoon and early evening it is usually raining here at this time of year (ihay mucha lluvia!) Hench, it was pouring as well as thundering and lightening while they were working on Jared. I walked him over to the dentista, then walked back to the hostel in the pouring rain and lightening, changed my sopping wet pants, then walked right back in the pouring rain to retrieve my swollen and sedated muchacho.
Things went pretty darn well despite the language barriers that had to be overcome to set up the surgery. The dentist doesn’t really speak English (initially I was the interpreter). Apparently after the surgery she had a very difficult time trying to explain to Jared that he should avoid drinking from straws.

El dia despues, ello duermó mucho

y trabajó en la cama, pero no como un puto.

I made sure that the patient had lots of soft food to eat. Yo fui la enfermera.

It sure has been a long journey to get to the point where this pesky teeth could be removed. Es un milagro!

Congrats! I bet your mouth is happy. That extraction animation makes it look like they used a Dremel on you.
I’d recommend not eating any bagel chips, which are very popular in Costa Rica or so I’m told.
You were misled sir.
Here’s to a quick recovery!
Do they have to remove the stitches, or are they the kind that dissolve?
