Hmmm- this site is also incredibly slow, jerky, and with screwed up formatting on Mozilla Firefox.
Not that I really care as long as i can read it, but you might be interested in knowing.
well i think i figured out the slowness problem sort of. i don’t think its the clouds!
i think its ie8, cause there is no problem in safari 5. everything was really slow in ie8 including scrolling, plus the pics are all squished on the left of the screen.

i think its the catgif causing slowness, cause when i size the window so the gif is not visible, then the picture control is fast (using right and left arrows to navigate)

PS – the cat gif is slowing down the picture control big time, and i have somewhat fast computer, intel core 2, 2.4 ghz, 3gb ram, nvidia 8800 GTS. is there a way to make it display faster?
