Nannerpuss
Our vessel is in ship shape for the forthcoming canoe tour to the Gulf. It has been scrubbed, waxed, and christened:
Today we went down the river for a few miles on tubes. A few notable appearances were: thunder and lightning, a huge water snake, snapping turtles, and a floating, bloated human or deer stomach and intestine.
This week we are going to do some hard labor in exchange for a spankin’ new Katadyn Pocket and borrow some life jackets from the neighbor.
We have mastered bread, cheese, and butter making. We are also completely worn out by the food in the garden and don’t want to see another eggplant or tomato for a few months. Our blood is 0.05% fire ant venom.
We are ready! Our departure is near.
