Rocking Hard all the Way to Detroit
Remember that rusty Hard Rock that Jared salvaged after it sat all winter outside of a grocery store? Well, I’m riding that boat anchor to Detroit, or at least that is the plan. Upon my arrival to the city, I will sacrifice that beast to the gods of donated bicycles. The sacrifice did not take place…will explain later.
My housemate Sharlyn and I had this crazy idea that we would ride bikes to the US Social Forum instead of getting a ride. Now we have our friend Pete joining in the fun as well. Oh man this is gon’ be an adventure.

I’m all panniered up and ready to go. It is 3:00 a.m. Leaving at 8. Wish me luck! I feel as though this ride will be a huge indicator of my skill level of bicycle mechanics given that I brought this old rusty puppy back from the dead.

Bon Voyage!
Good luck and be careful! I wonder if the person who gets that bike will realize it’s been on an awesome journey.
that is one ugly machine. it will make an excellent donation to the bicycle gods of detroit. i cast a spell upon your journey that is repellent of flat tyres and broken spokes.
Lar, you keep dodging my question. How tha fuck are you getting back? I feel like there must be motorized vehicle involved or you would have answered me.
A: Car.
