Rope Swing
Everyday after working out in the garden, we wash off all the dirt and sweat by going for a swim in the river. Jared won’t get in unless he is on a tube because the river is always a little cold. I usually take a different approach and dive off the dock. We all know Jared is a wuss when it comes to cold water. For example, on our trip down the west coast last summer, not once did I see him fully submerge whereas it was a daily event for me. It would have been pretty nasty to go 3 weeks without showering had I not had the refreshing Pacific alongside me. Same goes for the river on the farm. It is a great substitute for a mid-day shower.
There is also a very fun rope swing. Jared and I are working on are swinging abilities. Usually we fall right after take-off and there is no back-swing.
You can also climb the rope all the way up, which sort of scary and fun.
There is talk of a possible tubing adventure in the near future, which would involve us being dropped off a few miles upriver and tubing down.
